Glenmuir has been making golf knitwear in Lanark, Scotland since 1891, and the European Ryder Cup Team have worn it since 1987. The brand started out producing hosiery on a single knitting frame and grew into one of golf's most recognised names, still made from lambswool and merino sourced in Scotland and Italy. Andrew MacDougall founded the company in 1891 in Kirkfieldbank, near Lanark, and the factory moved to its current home on Delves Road before the turn of the century. Glenmuir has supplied the European Ryder Cup Team since their first win on American soil in 1987, and still does.
